Resurfacing a porcelain bathtub or a ceramic tile wall isn’t as simple as painting a door. To get a coating to adhere to a glassy surface requires a few things. First of all, a good coating is needed, and we use the best in the industry. We use a two-component polyamide cured epoxy primer that is sprayed on and constricts as it dries. We then spray multiple coats of high-solids aliphatic acrylic polyurethane enamel that cures to form a smooth shell, mimicking the fixtures original form.

In addition to effective coatings, the surface preparation is crucial. This is where the longevity of a coating can be traced to, and from where most failed coatings are generated. A hydrophilic acid wash treatment is performed, lifting and removing any contaminants at the same time as it is etching the surface. This gives the once glassy surface a chalkboard texture, and our products have something to grab..

We can update your tub to something more pleasing to the eye, like say, white. And nothing else needs to be removed or altered in any way.
